A Family Adventure
Colorado Rapids
We went to a major league soccer game last night. It was fun! Except for one element. The snow element.
If you can believe it, it has STILL been snowing around here! I thought that it was supposed to be spring...Well, on the way up to Denver-about two hours away from us-it basically snowed the whole time. It wasn't a big deal. Except for the fact that it made us wonder what the game would be like. Because it was at an outdoor stadium. :<)
Well, we got there and it was really, um, wet. Very wet. Well, we walked into the stadium and first off got our free jersey. Yeah, you heard me. Free! I love free stuff. Especially t-shirts. And the snow was still falling.
Anyway, we go to sit down and the seats are all wet. Oh well, just wipe 'em off, right? Yeah, well, the snow kept falling. But, to look on the bright side of things, it was really pretty. All the stadium lights shining and this snow falling. Wow! Really cool. And the snow kept falling.
The thing that one has to remember about spring snow is that it is wet. Really wet. So when it falls on you it instantly melts, adding an element of discomfort.
Well, the night went on and the soccer game was really fun to watch! Talk about control of the ball. And cool moves. It was awesome! It was not as fast as I thought it would be though. And the snow was still falling.
Well, sadly, we left about 15 minutes before the end of the game, because everyone was cold. We got in the car and were all totally wet. And the snow kept falling, but no longer on us.
All in all, it was a really fun night. And a fun family adventure! And the free jersey was pretty awesome too. :<)
