Hello! I hope everyone had a nice weekend! I'm sure everyone watched the Oscars. All except me. I didn't watch them for two reasons. One, I don't have TV, so I would have had to go somewhere to watch them. Two, I really don't care about all that actor stuff. All I care about is whether or not the movie is good. (They never give Oscars to the good movies anyway. With the exception of Lord of the Rings....The only reason I know LOTR won is because my sister was following it last year.) Anyway, I just don't really like actors for some reason. I mean, I have never been one before, but from what I see, they seem so fake. I mean how can you be in the real world with tons of money and huge amounts of fame. It is sure to go to your head! Plus, it seems like they have relatively few responsibilities. They could pay someone to do anything-or that person might even pay the actor! :<)
So, I have no idea who won or what was up for nominations or anything. I only know three things that went on because of my sister and mom. One, Chris Rock was the MC. Two, "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" was one of the nominations, And, three, an actress with the first name of Kate was nominated. That shows how little I know.
Well, chao! I hope you enjoyed the Oscars more than I did!

Woot! It's the Weekend!

Well, I have no plans, so it does not matter that it is the weekend, but it is still an exciting prospect! So, I was thinking of Fridays I would review something. Maybe it would give you an idea of something to do. So....I am going to evaluate the absolute bestest place in the entire world. Buh-buh-buh-buh!! COLD STONE CREAMERY !!!!!!!! Okay, so I am going to be a little biased, but I will go ahead and do my best. Okay, CSC is a wicked cool place where you get to "create" your own ice cream. You get to pick ice cream flavors and mix-ins and the worker peoples will make it right in front of you. It rocks! There are so many flavors you could choose! And there are tons of mix-ins! Candy, fruit, and that type of thing. I would reccommend Peanut Butter Perfection in Sweet Cream ice cream. This is Reese's, chocolate syrup, and peanut butter in ice cream. Heavenly! The only drawback of this place is the price. The smallest one-though it's a lot of ice cream-costs like four bucks. I think it is worth it though!! There is a very entertaining aspect of it all too. The workers sing-especially when they get a tip! It's kinda fun! So, if you're bored this weekend and have four bucks to blow, go to CSC! You can also check out their website if you wish to. If you tell them your birthday, they will send you a free coupon for an ice cream cake to celebrate!

Have a wicked cool weekend!! Chao!

The Superbular, Stupendous, Sweet Day

Hola to all! I hope you are all having stupendous, superbular days. Today, once again, I had school. I had an impromptu speech in-well, in speech class. It really sucked. I wish that is all I could say about it, but then I would be betraying all of you by not giving you the "scoop". Okay, my stupendously stupid topic was "A time you hit the jackpot". Dumb, huh? Well, since I am not old enough to win the jackpot, I told about some time this lady gave me five bucks when I was little and to me, that was like hitting the jackpot. Okay, so anyway, in this superbular speech, I managed to tell everyone they were old. Whoops! I said something along the lines of "You guys are probably too old to know what [something I was talking about] is". Well, they all laughed, I got red in the face, in flustered. And, yet again, I had been had by speech class. Well, another speech, another try, right? Argh!

Since I didn't write yesterday, I have to tell you what I got in the mail!! It is so totally sweet. I am doing a speech (why does speech class have to work it's way into everything?) on edible insects. I wanted a prop type thing, so I ordered bug suckers off the net. They are AWESOME! One has a larvae in it and the other has a cricket. What kind of sicko would eat this stuff without a dare? Not me! If you are interested in this buggy stuff, check out this website. It is stupendous.

People Observing

Have you ever just sat and observed people? It can prove to be a very interesting endeavor! I have a lot of time to do it in my classes. I'm sitting listening to lecture and I get to just watch people. There are some that don't take notes and just sleep-literally! They lay their heads on the table and take a cat nap. No one has ever started snoring before. That would be quite amusing though!

Then there are the people that are.......trying to be intellectual. They are the ones that constantly ask stupid questions starting with the following: "What is your opinion on the social trends...." or "How did this event influence..." I don't mind questions, but these are ones intended to make yourself look-intellectual. And these people ask twenty in one class period. Argh! These same people also like to try and start debates about non-debateable stuff-like peanut butter. JK :<)

Then the one other group of people I like to observe-or listen to-is the talkers. They are the ones that have a running commentary throughout the lecture. Usually, I don't mind it, but today I was actually the one someone was talking to. Oh, man! That was SO irritating! I couldn't concentrate and I was also afraid the teacher would tell us-or her-to shut up. (Or something along those lines.)

Another great place to people watch is malls. There are SO many weird and interesting people there. I wonder if someone is watching me right now. Uh-oh. Ahhhh! I feel a bunch of eyeballs staring at my back........

Garfield Hates Mondays. So Do I.

Hi, all! Well, I don't know if anyone reads this, so I don't know if I have anyone to say hi to. Anyway...

My Monday was actually good. I am lucky, because I do not have school on Mondays. :<) Or work. Yay! Rather, I volunteer for a few hours at a veterinarian's office and then have art lessons. It's really cool! Today at the vet's office I didn't do a whole lot. Filing, watching a few spays and neuters, a little bit of cleaning. But I did get to do two cool things-well, I think they're cool. I watched a surgery that I've never seen before. Sadly, I forget the name of it. It starts with mam and ends with ectomy. :<) Anyway, this dog had a tumor in her mammary glands, so the vet had to take it out. Gee, that was a big tumor! Okay, now that all of you are green and feeling nauseous...

The other thing I got to do was fill a prescription. "Half a 25 gram tablet Rimadyl, administered orally once a day every twenty-four hours". Sounds hard, huh? Okay, so it was easy, but I enjoyed it.

I will sign out for today. Hmm, how about a parting thought....I'm thinking, I'm thinking....Okay, here goes-"Don't worry, be happy, mon! Whoa-oh-oh-oh!" That's from a movie I think. I don't know which. I just know someone sings it.

Adios!

Intro-*drum-roll*

Hi! My name is Danika. A lot of my friends call me Dani though, because no one remembers my name or how to pronounce it. My teachers STILL don't say my name right and it is like 1/4 of the way through the semester. I've given up on them. :<)

Okay, so this may not deserve a drum-roll or anything, but maybe a little toot on your Kazoo would be nice. It would make me so happy. Ha-ha.

Well, I am not going to write anything of real significance today. I will just tell you a little about myself-which, once again, is of little significance.

Okay, here goes...I am sixteen, and in eleventh grade. I have home-schooled all my life up until last year when I started going to a community college. I am working on high-school credits and at the same time working on an Associate of Science. It's been an interesting experience! If you want to see some of the stuff I am interested in, see my profile.

The last thing I want to do is explain my title. :<) Well, there's not a whole lot to explain. I just thought it was fun. It is my name on a website I frequent often. (I will post the URL when I figure out how to do that.) The subtitle was also just a fun thing; but it also had a little inspiration...my Mom gave me a present to thank me for babysitting (how sweet!). It is Napoleon Dynamite and it says "He's Out to Prove He Has Nothing to Prove". So, I basically decided to steal the idea. Therefore, my subtitle.

Okay, enough babbling. Have a nice day...or night...whatever it is when you read this.
